Vol. XIII - A New Varorium Edition, edited by Horace Howard Furnace. On the ffep there is a dedication in ink with what appears to be his signature). A very comprehensive publication: including Preface, Dramatis Personae, copious footnotes (often longer than the substantive text - see example image) and concluding with a lengthy Appendix (inc. criticism, costume etc - image). Brown ochre, bubble grain cloth boards with emblematic gilt shield on the front which is also replicated on the back board; but is debossed and without gilt. There are, however, gilt (gold) titles along the spine. The latter also has a little spotting in places. Generally the book's binding is tight although there is a slight gap revealing a little of the binding material between the front pastedown and endpaper. The title page uses both black and red text. Top edge is gilt and the fore and bottom edges are uncut (and slightly tanned). The typography is impressive with careful pagination, underlining, footnotes, musical scores etc. pp. xxii, 434 (pp. 321-434: appendix material). Printed on laid paper. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request an additional payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2330.
