35, [1] pp., illustrated, oblong (8.75 x 11.5 in.), card wrapper. Text printed in brown ink on antique finish paper. Armorials printed in color. Enclosed in a card folder with cloth ties. This is the elaborately produced program book for the extravaganza re-enactment of a jousting tourney earlier held during the time of Shakespeare's England. Contents include the Statutes of Arms, Ordinances, Statutes & Rules Made by John, Lord Tiptofte, the knights justing at the tilt, including their armorials, the judges and their armorials, the procession order coming into the field, and an extensive essay on the tourney itself. The organizers and participants were drawn from the highest echelons of London society, and was held on July 11, 1912 in Earl's Court in London. Laid in are a four-page leaflet "Rules of Justing at the Tilt & of the Tourney" and clippings of two photos from The Daily Graphic (London) newspaper showing some of the lady participants and the tourney. A rare survival, and a mostly well-preserved copy; contents of the program are clean and fine (other than light spots of foxing on a couple of leaves), its cloth cords are broken though all pages continue to hold together. The plain folder is worn and soiled, but intact. N° de ref. del artículo 4099
