Cloth. Condition: Very Good Indeed. Unnamed (illustrator). An uncommon three volume set of mathematical works by Charles Hutton. Uniformly bound these work are in very good condition. Uncommon. Complete in three volumes. Rebound in a full cloth binding, and with new endpapers. Written by Charles Hutton, the important mathematician and surveyor of the 18th and 19th century, who worked as a professor of Mathematics in the Royal Military Academy in Woolwich. He is best remembered calculating the density of the Earth. In this work Hutton explores a series of mathematics tracts, with numerous mathematical equations and illustrative diagrams throughout evidencing his research. Illustrated with 6 folding plate and 1 plate to volume II, and 3 folding plates and 1 plate to volume III. No collation available. Internally firmly bound.
