Sinopsis:

Things Happen is an attempt to make sense of a series of recurrent dreams which began with the death of my father and haunted me for many years. Part One weaves these dreams into the story of a young girl who discovers that she is a prisoner at the mercy of the same adults who always said they loved her. Part Two looks at the little prisoner from the point of view of the adults involved.

About the Author:

Things Happen was done originally for the redoubtable Steve Bissette's TABU magazine. When Steve received the last pages for Part One, he called me on the phone and said, "This is the best piece on child abuse I have ever seen." I was taken aback and said, "What are you talking about?" and in the background, I heard his wife say, "She doesn't know, does she?" When TABU ran into financial difficulties and had to drop the project, I decided to self-publish and distribute on me own, which, as everyone knows, in the dark days before Amazon was virtually impossible. I hope to reach a larger audience now.
