Tertullian emphatically defended Christianity against pagans as well as defended freedom of religion as human right unable to be taken away. One of his important apologetics was an anti-Jewish treatise to counteract Gnosticism and other philosophically based doctrines. These defenses, along with other Tertullian works, are collected in this 1718 French edition, collected and edited by Sigebert Havercamp.
