Sections two, three and four only, lacking any others. The pigskin in rubbed as usual. Each measures around 20 x 17 and contains a paper folder inside with text and illustrations, some suitable for framing. Contents appear fairly clean and in order. Decorative Leather Over Boards. Condición: Good For Age. No Jacket. This copy is in good condition for its age. The covers have moderate wear with severe rubbing near the edges down to board. There is also moderate corner bumping and a few stains. The covers have detailed decoratio0n and gilt lettering and detailing all of which is in good condition. The spine has been bund with five chords and remains in good condition. All text edge have light wear and staining. The FEP through the title page have sustained light damage. The FEP has a tear near the foot of the spine and the next page also has a tear but this time located near the head of the spine. The frontispeice remains in excellent condition with its page containing minimal damage. The tissue covering the frontispiece has been torn and it mostly missing. There is some staining and light tearing at the foot of the title page. All of the one hundred and seventy five prints throughout the text remain in great condition with the pretective tissue intact. Hardbound. Full elaborate gilt tooled and embossed leather with 5 raised bands and extensive embossing and gilt tooling in the compartments; a real beauty. All edges are gilt. 162 pp. 175 large plates. A slightly better than average copy of this large, important volume. Last 15 pages have very slight moisture discoloration to the lower outside corner of the pages, otherwise the pages are bright and in very good condition. Entire volume is tight, raised bands and embossing on the spine is in average condition, being somewhat scuffed in places. A treasure trove of plates illustrating the work of American Artists of this period. Scarce, and a copy that will present vetry nicely on your shelf or table.
