Sinopsis:

For years, people have been asking for the biography of Paul Poberezny...and for good reason. It is because of his leadership and tenacity that sport and general aviation has opened its doors to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world-people who might never have experienced the spirit of flight had this man not started-and nurtured-what has become the internationally successful, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Today, because of Paul Poberezny, there is a place for those who chose to follow the dream of flight-in any capacity! Yet a book about Paul would be incomplete without including his wife, Audrey. She has been with him since the beginning, and it is no secret that without her support and guidance there would be no organization. Therefore, this book is about two people who met, fell in love, and created the world's largest sport aviation association. It is about Paul and Audrey Poberezny. This volume presents their life stories up to the end of 1958. It includes 300 drawings and photographs (many from their private collection), and is full of anecdotes and stories from those early years. Told in their own words and taken from writings from that time, the story leads the reader from the couple's modest beginnings into the formation of the EAA and up to the point at which this volunteer project began to consume their very being. It is about ordinary people with extraordinary talents. . .
