The Orators, W.H. Auden, Faber & Faber Limited, 1932, Second Edition This is a long poem in prose and verse, divided into three main sections, framed by "Prologue" and "Epilogue", each a short poem. Part I is "The Initiates" and comprises four speeches in dramatic prose. Part II is "Journal of an Airman" in prose with interpolated verses. Part III is "Six Odes", all in verse. This is a Second Edition in Very Good condition rented two years after the original publication. The binding is straight and tight, the boards have minimal shelf wear to the top and bottom edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are slightly toned with no marks, tears or inscriptions.
