A young boy befriends a giant dog named Old Nick and Bob, the puppy who Nick had adopted, and the dog goes on to save the boy's life while ranchers attempt to peg the murder of their cattle on him. 239 pp. Tan boards with brown lettering, design; pictoral endpapers feature the two dogs looking onward at a caravan out on a dusty plain. Deckle edge, purple topstain. Light rubbing to edges. Very light, almost unnoticable spine lean. Light dust to top edge. Two small dings to fore edge of rear board. Very faint tideline to length of bottom edge of rear board, 3 inches tall and to 4 inch by 2 inch area on top edge. Light spotting elsewhere to rear board, spots all faint and hard to see except in direct light. Some very light spotting to bottom edge. DJ archivally protected. Light soiling and spotting to rear DJ panel with some light rippling, light tideline to top and bottom edges. Light tideline and light rippling to bottom edge, rear DJ flap. Light DJ edgewear.
