Book condition: good, very scarce 1755 edition, title continues: "the authorities in law, and cases in the books of reports cited in the margin. The eighth edition carefully revised, some errors in the text of the last edition corrected, and the writs accurately translated into English. To which is added a commentary containing curious notes and observations." full leather binding shows a 5 X 1.5 inch section missing from upper left front and a 5 X 3/4 inch section off upper left back, some scuffing, corners rounded, spine features five raised bands, scuffing to head and tail, last two letters of title on spine missing, hinges have some play, pastedown and first two endpapers show a few holes from insect damage, interior shows some darkening to text block, overall very clean, binding firm, 606 pages followed by the "table to the book", 8.5 X 10.75 inches.
