A collection of diseases and ailments with the cures, each ascribed to the various London Hospitals. The third edition with 229 Pages, P. 229 mis-numbered as 226, and with the index at the end, the only edition appearing as paginated thus. xi, [i], 229 pp (but shown as 226 as per note above), [1], plus xxii pp index. Approximately 7 inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles on a maroon label, five raised gilt edges bands, date stamped in gilt at the foot, gently rubbed top and tail. Joints good condition gently rubbed and worn. Corners good condition gently bumped and worn. Boards good condition full leather boards, some wear down the fore edges, general signs of wear. Page edges good condition top edge darkened, all heavily tanned and foxed. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition the paper on both hinges has split, both hinges are intact. Paste downs good condition plain, the front paste down has the signatures of two previous owners, the rear paste down has some hand written notes, tanned and foxed. End papers both end papers missing. Title good condition previous owner s signature along the top edge, tanned and foxed. Pages good condition marginalia in pencil only, mostly crosses and lines, and hand written notes to page iv in ink, tanned and foxed throughout. Binding good condition. See photos.
