1913 first edition, C. Maar (Albany, New York), 6 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches tall pamphlet in beige printed covers, pamphlet stitched with purple twine, 13 pp. Slight soiling and age toning to covers. Otherwise, apart from slight marginal age toning, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this genealogy which is uncommon in its original issue. ~O~ [0.5] Johann Conrad Mahr (Maar), son of Johannes Mahr, a shepherd of Homberg-on-der-Ohm, Germany, married Elizabethe, daughter of Adam Zimmer, 16 Feb. 1768. They had seven children. Several of their descendants immigrated to America and settled in New York. They were: Henry (1836-1895, settled in Poughkeepsie, New York); Maria (1839-1912, married 1. Gottlieb Dilger; 2. August Staats, both of New York City); Marie (b. 1857, married Conrad Herbert, settled in Albany, New York); John (b. 1859, settled in Albany, New York) and Katharine (1871-1900, married Karl Throm of Brooklyn, New York).
