Eighth. ninth and ninth impressions of second, revised edition, from 1974, 1974 and 1978 respectively. Hardbacks in overall Very Good condition with like jackets (unclipped on Return of the King and Two Towers, clipped on Fellowship). Maroon cloth (Return of the King) and red cloth (Fellowship and Two Towers) boards, corners very lightly bumped, edges a little rubbed and slightly scuffed, small dent to lower rear edge of Two Towers, surfaces overall clean,423, 352 and 440 pages, each with fold-out map to inside rear cover, light marking to the edge of the text blocks, very scattered and minor use wear but overall contents clean, bindings firm and slightly rolled (more so to Fellowship). Jackets have been lightly rubbed to the edges and corners, small surface chips to upper rear edge of Return of the King, light creasing to Fellowship, surfaces clean with a few small scratches, looking smart in removable clear plastic sleeves.
