Book condition: very good, very scarce with dust jacket, part of the New Classics series, Forster's story of middle-class England with the main character caught in the struggle between instinct and convention, no publication date, copyright 1922, published circa 1944, DJ was designed by Alvin Lustig and features a black and white design on a blue background, the back lists series publications and shows moderate soiling, small tears to top and bottom edges with .25" chip off spine head, blue cloth boards show minor sunning to perimeter otherwise excellent, signature on ffep otherwise interior very clean, binding tight, 327 pages, 5 X 7.25 inches.
