Five volumes 4to (28 cm) unpaginated. Publisher's cloth, spines somewhat dusted, lists of estimates loosely inserted. Auction catalogs of sales conducted in New York from June 6th to December 13th, 1989. Part I features "John James Audubon Magnificent Books and Manuscripts," comprising 38 entries, marked copy. Part II presents "Magnificent Color-Plate Ornithology," covering lots 39-241, marked copy. Part III includes "The Original Watercolors for Selby's Illustrations of British Ornithology," with lots 243-519. Part IV showcases "Highly Important French Literature," spanning lots 520-1322. Part V encompasses "Highly Important Illustrated and Scientific Ornithology," containing lots 1323-1977, marked copy. Overall, there were nine sales held for this significant library.
