The Owen W. And Janet K. Roberts Letters, in separate volumes, document the Roberts' time while Owen was serving in the Foreign Service in Cairo, the Congo, Ethiopia, Ouagadougou, Jerusalem and The Sinai, and Nigeria . The papers consist of nearly two hundred original letters written between 1958-1960, describing the Roberts' life in The Congo. It also contains an interview conducted by the Georgetown University Oral History Program on Ethiopia and Togo, 1989 between Amb. Roberts and the interviewer, Charles Kennedy. The Roberts summered for many years off the coast of Mount Desert Island, Maine.
