Quarto, leaf size 255x195mm. In original, handsome, dark burgundy morocco binding with decorative gilt-ruled panelling and corner decorations on both boards. Spine with five raised bands with gilt decoration in the compartments, sometime sympathetically rebacked with original spine relaid. Inner gilt rolls. All edges gilt. Possibly later marbled end-papers. With 140 leaves of plates, including a portrait frontispiece of George I, laid, at start; minor chips and tears in the margin of some plates, not affecting print area.
