12mo. In two volumes. [5.25 tall x 3.00 wide]. ESTC ref 006361879. Darlow & Moule 1088. Collates complete A-T4, T5-Qq6. A fairly scarce edition, ESTC records 4 UK & 7 US locations. A good, sound copy in the main. Generally clean but with some toning in places, a handful of leaves with foxing/spotting [mainly at the close of vol.1]. The bulk of the book clean & sound. Some light reading wear commensurate with age. Good copies overall. Bound in rather attractive matching contemporary gilt calf bindings. Central gilt lozenge to the boards, gilt spine with raised bands. A little rubbed/scuffed to the extremities else sound and attractive examples of these period bindings.
