Red leather bds, w/ embossed gilt Fauconberge School, Beccles arms. Decorative endpapers. Gilt design on inner bd. edges. P/o Bookplate, f.f.e.p. and commemorative school bk. plate. The book was presented as a school prize in algebra and arithmetic to Alfred Octavius Hartley, 5th Form, in 1871. P/o name penned on 2nd f.e.p. Some water-staining to block fore-edge to approx.100 pgs., barely seen on text block fore-edge. Bits of foxing. Interior leaves age-toned and tight. Reprinted from the Family Library with considerable additions. The wonderful career of Napoleon, the bane of England and the Continent for years. includes appendix and index.
