Descripción:

The 12 pp booklet, 12 x 9 inches in paper covers, provides a capsule history of the Hawaiian Islands and then gives focus to individual islands: Hawaii, Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Molokai. Information covered includes flying time from Honolulu, brief histories, legends, agriculture and topographical details, with a map of each island provided. The question might arise: Why is a paper manufacturing company in Ohio publishing a booklet on the Hawaiian Islands? The publishers answer that question directly, writing: "Today and every day in this paradise of the Pacific, paper made in one of Sorg's three modern mills at Middletown, Ohio, is used in one form or another. It may be the playing cards used in a friendly game of bridge at a Honolulu home…or the dinner menu at a swank Waikiki Beach hotel.or the soda straws in a soft drink at Hana airport.or the drinking cups and paper napkins at a beach picnic.blah blah blah; we get the picture. In any event, an interesting booklet in very good condition bringing together unlikely players: the Hawaii Visitors Bureau and Sorg of Ohio. N° de ref. de la librería
