Descripción

An interesting issue of Harper's in the original wrappers. With a frontispiece and another full page color plate by Howard Pyle. The frontispiece is: "Theirs was a Spirited Encounter.' The additional Pyle color plate is "Who are we that Heaven should make of the Old Sea a Fowling Net," -- both plates are to illustrate "The Second Chance" by James Branch Cabell; There is an article by Archibald Henderson on "Old Edinburgh," with important series of 8 illustrations by the noted pictorialist photographer Alvin Langdon Coburn, printed in suble tones; a short story by Henry James "Crapy Cornelia;" and a full page b/w plate from a painting by Elizabeth Shippen Green. Full magazine, internally very good, with ads intact. The original wrappers show some wear, with some scrappiness along the edges, and three old repairs with cellotape across the spine (the tape is now somewhat darkened). N° de ref. de la librería 39874
