Red paper wraps, gilt lettering on front cover, rear cover contains a speech and photographs of William Jennings Bryan, 12 mo, 135 pp. plus 3 pages ads of Lincoln, Nebraska businesses at rear. Fictional account of the settlement of Nebraska, from 1865 to 1896, from the view point of the economic and political issues that were prevalent on the Plains at the time. Prominently among these issues was the silver-gold currency issues, Temperance (the author was Grand Chief Templar of Nebraska), and the Populism represented by the rise of William Jennings Bryan. Signed and inscribed by the author on the dedication page. No marks in book, binding tight. Pages somewhat browning but still supple. Covers show some chipping with 1/2" by 1" loss bottom front cover, 2" by 2" loss, affecting some text, rear cover. Uncommon Nebraska imprint, OCLC locates 2 copies. Book condition VG-.
