Book condition: poor, very scarce, book holds volumes XXX and XXXI which is the entire year for 1845, first volume contains The Thousand and Second Tale of Scheherazade by Poe who also has Literary Criticism and Marginal Notes in volume XXXI, features seven hand colored plates along with numerous other illustrations, a few plates have had the outside edge folded back into the book, green cloth boards show bumping to corners, a few white scuffs to the back and some wear to head and tail of spine, gilt on spine bright, catalog number at top, front board detached from binding, still attached to spine piece, back board firm, owner's stamp and small bookplate on front pastedown, pastdowns show heavy foxing, ffep shows owner's stamp and signatures in pencil, one illustration detached and placed in back, some foxing to the interior confined to outside margin, all text legible, 284 and 272 pages with tables of contents, 6.5 X 10 inches.
