Título: The Future of Infantry.
Editorial: London: Faber & Faber Limited, 1933
Año de publicación: 1933
Edición: 1st Edition
Small octavo. Original red cloth, titles to spine black. With the dust jacket. Light foxing to edges; an excellent, bright copy in the jacket with toned spine, front panel with short closed tear to foot and small patch of abrasion to head. First edition, second state. The first in Faber's short-lived Art of War series; the only other title was Fuller's Generalship of the same year. In a short piece adapted from a lecture given at Southern Command in the winter of 1931 the author argues that, following the horrors of the First World War, the infantry still have a future role of "usefulness and dignity" as a "corps d'élite of 'field craftsmen'". Uncommon in the jacket. N° de ref. de la librería 105711
