The Earl of Ellenborough (1790-1871) was a Tory Politician, President of the Board of Control, Governor General of India 1842-1844, with his first wife being the infamous Jane Digby. The covers and one leaf front/back are detached, lacking the spine covering, hence the Poor portion of the condition listing, with the Interior in Very Good Condition. MILITARY.
