This early guide to the English-Maori vocabulary was initially published in London in 1862, the work of W L Williams, Bishop of Waiapu. A second edition was printed by Upton in Auckland 10 years later, with a third in London in 1882. In 1894 the first of four editions by Upton appeared followed succession by three more by 1910. Ninth edition of 1930, 141 pages.
