13" x 6", die-cut shape book, heavy-gauge metal ring binding, four moving wheels on metal grommets, 24 pp. + card covers. Extremely scarce - truly rare - 1946 children's die-cut story book in the shape of a fire engine with moving wheels, in superb, almost Fine condition. SEE ALL 5 PHOTOS ENLARGED. Wonderful artwork by 'Koering' throughout, text by Jeffrey Victor. An amazingly bright and fresh copy, considering its age, and seemingly untouched by a child (or perhaps gently used). Minor condition issues: top of rear board edge at metal rings curled inwards, a few small blemishes, two very faint crinkle ridges/surface creases running vertically on the front board, minor bumping to corners; otherwise excellent.
