336 pp., + 55 b/w plates hors text, colour frontispiece tipped in, publisher?s original wrappers, slightly rubbed, biblio, light yellowing to front endpaper, otherwise copy clean inside & in very good condition. Fourteen museums from all over the world contributed to this exhibition which was held in Cairo in April 1969. Two hundred ninety nine pieces covering gold, rock-crystal, ivory, ceramics, glass, woodcarving, textiles, and paintings were exhibited.
