1st Edition 1903. A very early board design for Blackie books. Part of the Warwick Library of English Literature that he started to design from 1896. Talwin Morris was a leading influence in the Glasgow Style, associating with the likes of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Margaret MacDonald and Frances and Herbert MacNair. He worked on Blackie books from 1897 to 1909. Book is very good++ and bright. Edges lightly rubbed. Contents good. Bookplate and small inscription to endpaper. Endpapers stained to top edge.
