28.5x22.5cm (11"x8¾"). Plates volume only. Title-page leaf followed by 174 (of 175) copper plates, of which 71 double-page and 15 folding; missing folding Plate 115 (Vaisseau de 84 Canons). Margins cropped (outside of plate-marks) at later re-bind, presumably to match the smaller text volumes. Four Danish institution stamps of some age - one at front flyleaf, two at title-page, one at title-page verso - and manuscript "N.19" on front pastedown; no further signs of ownership. Title-page faintly dust-marked and a little toned towards edges. Folding Plate 48 with tan splash-stain largely confined to lower margin. Multi-folding Plate 82 with untidyish tear at intersection of two folds, no visible loss. Verso of right-hand section of double-page final plate (numbered XVI) soiled, the engraved recto lightly toned and with three tan spot-stains - the largest of diameter about 1cm. Contents otherwise just occasionally faintly toned and/or lightly & sparsely spotted, with occasional isolated spots, a few minor misfolds, and a few creased and/or furled corner tips. Near-contemporary full tree-calf and plain white endpapers. Smooth spine with decorations in gilt, and olive-green label titled in gilt. Spine rubbed, patchily darkened, with a little loss at tail, and with label a little chipped. Hinges rubbed, with open splits from heads to tails. Boards rubbed, front also patchily darkened over sizeable areas towards upper inner corner and fore-edge. Surface loss at grazes along 9cm of upper edge of rear board to depth up to 3cm; further surface loss to both front and rear boards over a few small patches & spots and along lower edges. Loss of hide at lightly worn outer corners, slight loss along shelf edges. Endpapers a little adhesive-stained at outer edges, otherwise faintly toned; front endpapers with minor splits along hinge. Edges of book-block a little toned; upper edge also dust-marked, fore-edge a little marked close to upper edge, and lower edge a little marked close to fore-edge. Binding with moderate wear, but still holding firmly and of decent shelf appearance; contents generally clean, tight and in very good condition. GOOD+ copy. N° de ref. del artículo 26984
