Two volumes. Royal quarto. I. Text Volume: Pp. x, 333, with 112 illustrations to text. Hardcover, bound in the original publisher's full light brown cloth, large gilt lettering embossed on each cover; II. Plate Volume: Title leaf, and 44 plans and plates, partly folding, some printed with additional colours, placed in original portfolio, spine ends slightly worn. Excellent set in about fine condition. Crisp set of plans and plates. ~ First edition. The fine photographic plates are printed in collotype, one of the most accurate and attractive methods of photomechanical tonal printing processes.
