Descripción
f/p+xi+196, apart from a fairly faint muddy smudge top p.v of Preface this is inetrnally clean, tight and unmarked in any way, a.e.marbled, sm. 'Bound by J.Edmond Aberdeen' label bottom fr. pastedown, bottom edge p.iii affected by a paper flaw, not affecting text. Top 5/6 mm or so of gilt-banded paneled sp. chipped, and sp. superficially rubbed, covers otherwise excellent aside from some corner bumping. This is 2nd ed. of this translation but, since translator's preface is dated 1815, presumably issued in same year as first, the only difference probably being some Edinburgh Review puffs at the end of this 'From the beginning of the narrative to its close, the thoughts, the expressions, the descriptions, all are limpid purity'. Just what we all need. Note: quoted non-UK shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range.
