1992 first edition thus, Gateway Press (Baltimore, Maryland), 6 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches tall burgundy cloth hardcover, no dust jacket (as issued), gilt lettering to front cover and spine, illustrated with black-and-white photographs, thoroughly indexed, xviii, 142 pp. Slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with very slight shadow to spine where a label was removed. Former library copy, with inkstain and bookplate to front pastedown, abrasions to upper margin of blank front free-endpaper where a label was removed and a red withdrawn stamp to upper margin of title page as the only indications of this. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce genealogy and family history. ~SP01~ [1.5P] Looks at the ancestry of, and traces the descendants of, John and Sarah (Pierson) Twitchell, married in Derby, Connecticut in 1698 or 1699. John and Sarah, progenitors of the Connecticut branch of the Twitchell family, have some 470 known descendants, of whom half were living when this genealogy was published. It is a partial update of the genealogy of the Twitchell family complied by Ralph Emerson Twitchell in 1929.
