Printed for the Committee of Council on Education, South Kensington Museum, 1877, 11 x 7.25 inches, title-page, Note, List of Plates, and 55 plates, most with descriptive Notes opposite, "Plates 43 and 44 have been withdrawn" printed at the end of the List of Plates, original hardback covers in poor condition but complete, backstrip missing, the edges of the front and rear covers are very worn, internally water-stained in the gutter throughout, a few finger-marks, otherwise the contents are mostly clean and (apart from one or two loose leaves) sound, inscribed on the fly-leaf to "W.J.Holland from Sir Philip Cunliffe Owen" together with a street address. NOTE: Sir Philip Cunliffe Owen was the Director of the South Kensington Museum from 1874 to 1893. N° de ref. del artículo 1865
