[10]-569-[1], [2]-370-[1-1 bl.], [2]-385-[1-2 bl.] pp. ( staining and browning as usual, some minor foxing, waterstains in lower margin & upper corner of 1st quires of resp. Pt I & Pt. II . 2nd edition (1st 1656-1666) of this profusely illustrated topographical work, less complete than the 1st ed. but topographically spoken most valuable for its changes to a number of plates (most of this new pls are differentlty oriented). With portrait of Sanderus and dedication folio with engraved portrait of Marie-Elisabeth & 63 plates (lacking 4 pl. (Brussels (2), Vilvorde, Scheut), but with 2 pl. (S. Augustin - Antwerp & Corsendonck) present in double). Nice mostly folding double-page engraved plates showing abbeys, monasteries, convents, Marian devotional places, including Affligem, Brussels, Antwerp, Mechelen, Louvain, Averbode, Grimbergen, Tongelo, Villers etc. Numerous vignettes. Title in red & black. Printed in 2 cols. Library stamps. Ref. B.B. V, pp. 64-68 [S-2165]. * 3 volumes. Good copy with very good clear printed plates. Meticulously restored 19th century full leather bindings, with recuperation of the gilt ornamented spines on 6 raised bands. Blindstamped frontcovers with author, title and date.
