43 pages, 4 page facsimile of letter, poor condition in original card covers, covers heavily creased, stained and worn, lower half of spine torn away, newspaper cuttings pasted to the front and rear end-papers and the preliminary page with consequential offsetting and browning, short tear in the fore-edge of the title page. Tipped in are two typed letters from the author to W Roberts, 18 Kings Avenue, London dated March 9th, 1916 (11 lines on one sheet) sent with the catalogue and April 27th, 1916 (21 lines on two sheets with two ink amendments) referring to the review of the catalogue in the TLS written by Roberts.
