The rear board is rubbed with small brown stains. Half- title, title, 70 &  pages. There is scattered foxing. Very good. Printed by D. B. Updike of the Merrymount Press, but disowned by him due to poor scholarship [Bianchi 269].The book is annotated with a very few pencil notes and corrections. According to the archivist of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum "the signature and marginalia is the writing of Morris Carter, first director of the museum (and former librarian of the MFA, Boston).".
