A maroon cloth bound album containing 67 perfect samples of "Skirt Bands" in woven silks over silk/cotton strips. the album of samples opens like a concertina of 18 stiff card leaves all with printed details of the prices per yard (gross costs) hand written beneath each design, the colours you could have the various designs in and width as well as the company "code number". These are all removable and tipped in on top and bottom edges. The cover has a company logo of "Lion Triumphant" Trade Mark". However I can find NO trade mark link to any company online, past or present. However! This company we have attributed the sample to were the leading Leek manufacturers of these types of silks and this is a local and locally bought item. Each measures 8 inches in length and two widths over an inch 1.2 inches and 3/4rs of an inch. Various retailers and dress or costumier shops. All the samples vary in colour of silks used and logo/design, although some have the same shops duplicated and a couple about 3 times (on various coloured silks and finishes), but mainly single examples only.
