Pagination erratic , comprising title , Notice to Public, 54 pages with time-tables and fares, 9 double-page maps, 4 double-page plans of Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Liverpool, Names of railways in England, 9 pages with cab and coach fares, 3 pages with tables of latitudes and longitudes, Advertisment for steam ship service, Time-table for Lancaster Canal Packet Boats, Almanac, and Index. There are also two folded maps - London (facing Title) and Railways in England and Wales (facing the Names of Railways), and a large folded chart showing the gradients of the different railways (facing the Index). We have checked the above with the Index , although the title mentions a plan of Leeds which is not present it is not in the Index and we believe this copy to be complete. The contents (including the folded maps/chart) are in good condition , name (dated 3 May 1842) on fep, front hinge slightly strained but holding well, cover (looks to be original) sound but somewhat faded, label on front board worn with corner lost.
