Published by Edward Arnold. Undated but Probably 1910's. One of The Children's Favourite Series. Hardcover. Size: 19 x 14 cms. Page number: 192. Red cloth boards with black, gilt and blue decoration and lettering. 44 stories mostly taken from British history including The Boy With The Bow, The Druids, The Tin Mines, Romans and Britons, Caracttacus,The Brave Queen, The Sea Rovers, The Danes, The Red King's Death, The Hammer of The Scots, King Arthur, The Red and The White Roses and The Gunpowder Plot. Other tales are fictitious - Dick Whittington and Robin Hood. Many black and white decorations and illustrations decorate the text; some being signed by A.Twidle and W. L. Thomas. Condition: Very Good. The front and back boards are worn but still bright. The spine has faded to brown. There has been some bleeding from the red cloth boards onto the end papers at front and back. An old and damaged school prize sticker is on the paste down end paper and a child's name is written in pen on the first end paper. The binding is still firm. The pages within are, but for occasional marks, clean. There is no jacket. N° de ref. del artículo 001188
