Blue cloth with titling gilt on the spine and front cover, top-edge stained red. Light wear to the spine ends, cover edges & corners, some tanning to the endpapers, paperclip mark to the top margin of the free endpaper, and to the top margin, with a small stain to the back of the frontispiece (half-title); pp. 386-387 of the index shows a paper adhesion, that has torn off some of the printed surface with loss of text.
