The book features all the top notch tiger hunters from the past several decades, including Jim Corbett, Kenneth Anderson and others. The book also comes with a typed letter signed by John Batten to his close friend, F. Philip Williamson (1920-2009)of St. Antonio TX, himself an international hunter, book collector and author, the previous owner of this volume. He amassed one of the largest collection of books on hunting and fishing. In the letter, written in 1987, two years before his death, Batten discloses some of his personal information, previously unknown to the general public. A beautiful and heavy set, no jacket issued, but comes with a matching slipcase to house both volumes (see pics); the packing weight is estimated to be around 8 pounds, extra postage required, the shipping of this set is limited to Canada and the US only.
