RARE. Oblong. Quarter black calf with patterned brown cloth boards. "Waterloo" in gilt to the front board. Single gilt ruled line to the edge of the boards. Small portion of the front board slightly sunned. Corners mildly worn. Brown pastedowns and endpapers. Armorial bookplate of John Guille, seigneur de St. George to the front pastedown. A RARE and detailed folded broadsheet plan (11.0" x 18.0") of the Battle of Waterloo drawn by Lieutenant Tyler of the 2nd Guards Brigade, in original color and preserved by being bound into a Belgian view-book of the battlefield containing, six lithographs of pivotal locations in battle.OCLC locates 2 copies.
