Very Good hardcover without any dustjacket. The book is in russet colored cloth boards with gilt lettering and decorations on the front and the spine. The top e xterior page edges are in gilt. The book is very clean and very firm and tight i n its binding, with one page partially loosened but still well-attached. Hinges sound and undamaged. Pages lightly toned from age but still easily readable. Wit h 50 full page plates. There is one foldout map showing the historical floor pla n of the Louvre and the Tuileries, the parts destroyed in 1871 and the outline o f the old Louvre, and a second foldout map shows a floor plan of the gallery.
