Hiëronymus Bosch (1450-1516) leefde en werkte in 's Hertogenbosch waar hij raadselachtige schilderijen en tekeningen vol bizarre wezens, fantastische monsters en angstaanjagende nachtmerries schiep. Het boek is prachtig geïllustreerd met nieuwe foto's, gemaakt in opdracht van het Bosch Research and Conservation Project Team.
