The works of this book document the entire output of the Berlin-born artist's German and American years. The catalogue includes drawings that Grosz made in the city of his birth, in Pomerania, at the age of fifteen, works dating from the period of the Weimar republic as well as drawings from his U.S. period illustrating Nazi Germany and the war in Europe.
