"Layers of Distraction is a colossal 600-page work recommended especially for those who like good fiction with a questioning and conspiratory slant but which is guided by quality techniques to capture readers on the first page. - Vilto Reis, Homo Literatus Publishing"
"This is fiction is woven together very well, full of very realistic photos and information that take the reader on a journey that doesn't end until the last page of the book. - Ralph Peter, Empresas e Negócios Magazine"
A great observer, Davidsohn's background includes producing experimental videos and short films. It may be because of this background that the details of Layers of Distraction are so precise. Those who read it will be able to "feel" the terrain and the characters in the plot, and will also be able to experience the brainwashing and experiments on humans, the great world wars, the Brazil-United States relations, and a strong love triangle. - Keli Vasconcelos, Jornalirismo Publishing"
Daniel Davidsohn was born in 1969 in São Paulo, Brazil. After studying hotel and tourism management and getting a master’s degree in London, he went on to pursue a career working in the hotel business. His keen interest in the creative arts led him to direct experimental short films and write several screenplays. One of these, Café, was well received and won the hollywoodscript.com contest in 2005. He writes with great passion and his books have a strong human element and often examine the distortions of reality. His first novel, From The Nile to The Euphrates (2009), addresses the extremely delicate relationships of middle-eastern countries, while Layers of Distraction (2017), his latest novel, tries to peel back the secrets of the establishment and to show a world more close to the reality as he perceives it. A Higher Power, which is scheduled to be released in 2017, navigates the tricky dilemmas of wealth and spirituality.
