252pp , About the author :: Teresa Pàmies i Bertran ( Balaguer , 1919) Catalan writer , daughter of Thomas Pàmies Marxist leader . He joined the Unified Socialist Youth of Catalonia ( JSUC ) , 1937 , where he was active in his direction, in the creation of the National Alliance of Young Women ( 1937-1939 ) and in the July newsletter . After the Spanish Civil War was exiled to France and later went to Cuba , the Dominican Republic , and finally to Mexico , where he settled . He joined the Women's University , where he studied journalism (until then had always been self-taught ) . In 1947 he left Mexico to go to Belgrade , where he worked in radio, work continued later at Radio Prague, where he was editor of emissions in Castilian and Catalan. From exile also collaborated in the Catalan magazine Serra d' Or and Oriflama . In 1971 he returned to Catalonia and devoted himself to literature ... He married Gregorio López Raimundo , Secretary General of PSUC . She is the mother of fellow writer Sergi Pàmies . His works have an autobiographical background. He has also written a biography of Dolores Ibárruri in Castilian ( Mexico , 1975). In 1997 he received the Medal of Honor in Barcelona and in 2006, Manuel Vázquez Montalbán Award .
