Chapter-I shows that Colour definition, History of colour perception, introduction to colour Psychology and how colour affects psychologically to human beings. According to Carl Jung, deep down in human`s psyche is collective unconscious where there are content of archetypes, the Original Pattern or Model from which other Things of the same kind arc made. Those are the Foundation Images that are developed and formed from our ancestors through thousands of years. Colour is a part of our psychological and Biological Heritage therefore sometimes we response to colour in certain way, for example, we think that Red is hot and blue is cool, these are found to be Universal responses. But colour is also quite personal since each individual has their own personality and their preferences of colour arc diverse. As Jung also mentioned about the extravert and introvert type of personality and it is found that these types of personality have dissimilar colour preferences : the extraverted personality type has a greater tendency toward more intensive stimulation, so they arc enjoyed more in colourful surroundings, whiles introverted personality type of people are more favour lower degree of stimulation, and lower intensity of colour are preferred. Colour can also affected by culture and social trend, which Means the Meaning of colour is not the same across different Cultures and period of time. Since we are living in different Societies and the meanings of colours are formed by myth, value, belief, religion, social custom, as well as geographical and historical background of that society. In this book chapter-11 shows that the historical back Ground of colour psychology. Johann Wolfgang Goethe was one of the first people to connect colour and psychology, with his book "Theory of Colours". In 1947, Max Luscher took Goethe`s Theories one step further and actually created a colour test for the use of psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, and others involved with the "conscious and unconscious characteristics and motivations of others". Despite the ease with which Luscher`s test can be administered, it is a very "deep" psychological test that can reveal a multitude of things about one`s personality. Colour psychology came about through the work of several different people. Naturally, they differed on the opinions of colour and how it was perceived. But there were enough similarities in the end to make it valuable to people who Study colour today. In this chapter includes define various colours and how their affects psychologically to human beings. In this book chapter-III shows that colour charts about different colours related to the various elements to give Positive and negative outcomes from the human beings. In this book chapter-IV shows that properties of colour psychology with impact of colour to human beings. Another chapter -V shows that how colour affect moods, feelings and behaviors of human beings. The Psychology of Colour is primarily still within the realms of Folk or commonsense psychology and has been widely associated with culture. The significance of colour could well be related with particular cultures, Emotions and situations although there are very few Scientific Experiments on colour or a scientifically valid `colour psychology`. The psychology of colour studies the Effects of colours on human feelings and behavior. It is usually believed that red makes people happy or fervent and yellow raises alertness, white is about purity and cleanliness, black evokes a Sense of mystery, Loss or anonymity. The psychology of colour should thus have two distinct branches - 1. The effects of colour on human emotions - the emotional and Cultural aspects of colour psychology showing significance of colour in evoking human emotions. 2.
