This is a thoroughly revised and enlarged edition of "All about Delhi" published a few months before the Coronation Darbar of 1911. This book was issued when Delhi has just been made the capital of India and was intended to serve as a handbook. It gives in clean and concise terms the past history of Delhi under the Hindu Pathan and Mughal dynasties. It also gives a vivid account of the British occupation together with the story of the Mutiny. The history and antiquities of Delhi are discussed at some length and graphic accounts of notable sights from well known travelers are presented with accompanying photographs.

[iv], xvi, 180pp., lxviii (appendix), [iv], a 9 page index, and black and white illustrations. This is a facsimile reprint of the revised, 1918 edition, of All About Delhi, first published in 1911. In this edition the historical sketch of Delhi has been brought up to date, the old chapters have been recast, and new ones added. It gives a succinct history of the Hindu, Pathan and Moghul dynasties, and an account of the British occupation. The history and antiquities of Delhi are discussed and accounts of notable sights and scenes are presented. The book is bound in the original brown boards with gold titling on the spine and front board and a black illustration on the front board. The case of the book is in excellent condition with a bookseller's price label on the rear board.
